MONDAY
1. Warm-up: Prepositional Phrases  (Answer Key)
2. Silent Reading: Read pages 58-120 in the novel this week.
3. Update character logs for ONLY new characters 
4. Mini-project: Each student will be assigned a poem from the novel to complete TPCASTT and a RACER paragraph for.  Use PPT example below as a guideline.

FRIDAY
1. Grade Check: Vocab List #3, Character Log (Judianne-Amy), RACER paragraph
2. Jeopardy Labs: 1 round of Jeopardy on poetic devices for extra credit on Monday quiz.
3. Love Poems: Read/analyze love poems by Langston Hughes. Write a pome inspired by one of the poems we read in class and be prepared to share in class today/Monday
4. Spoken Word Cipher: Freestyle poetry using poetic devices.
HW DUE 2/12:
1. Study for quiz on novel (pgs. 58-107; Judianne-Amy), vocab list, and prepositional phrases.
2. Love poem in "Writing" section of notebook.
