MONDAY
1. Work on dots.  ALL ARE DUE FRIDAY 26TH
HW: EOC Practice #7 Author's Choice

TUESDAY
1. Open Google Docs and label it "7-Pointer: Informational Essay"
2. Use scrap paper to write down writing prompt and complete T.O.P
3. Read both articles "A New Twist on Libraries" and "Take One, Return One" and highlight for any examples you will use to write your 4-5 paragraph essay.
4. Type essay.  You have the first 60 minutes of class to complete.
HW: EOC Practice #8 "Tone". Complete all sections.

WEDNESDAY
1. Review Mock EOC (21-30)
2. Writer's Workshop: 7-point Info Essay
3. Edit/Revise essay
HW: EOC Practice #9 "Vocab"

WEEK 14: EOC Prep

MONDAY 
1. Open to rough draft section. Copy the following prompt: What arguments does the author make for being against private prisons?
2. Read article about private prisons and gather evidence to answer writing prompt.
3. Open Google Docs and use 50 minutes to write 4 paragraphs answering the writing prompt question.
4. Use extra time to work on 27 dots due April 26th.
HW: Complete practice #3 on subject/verb agreement.


TUESDAY
1. Notes: Singular vs. Plural and Subject Verb and Pronoun Antecedent agreement.
2. Error Analysis for Mock EOC (5-11)
3. Writer's Workshop: Revise/Edit 7-Pointer
4. USATESTPREP: Practice online to turn dots green
HW: Complete practice #4 on subject/verb agreement


WEDNESDAY
1. Review practice #4 (subject/verb)
2. Practice writing arguments and counter-arguments
3. Practice turning arguments into persuasive thesis statements
HW: Complete practice #5 on identifying author's claim 


THURSDAY
1. Warm-up on author's claim
2. Review Mock Eoc questions 10-20 3. Develop body paragraphs for yesterdays thesis using this article on the pros and cons of homeschooling
HW: Work on dots (www.usatestprep.com)


FRIDAY
1. Review parts of speech 
2. Practice for EOC by turning dots green on USATESTPREP
3. Revise your thesis, and body paragraphs. 
HW: Complete practice #6 on vocabulary.  Make sure to copy the sentence with unfamiliar word and diagram it like we did in class.

WEEK 13: MOCK EOC

MONDAY-TUESDAY
1. Go to www.usatestprep.com/create-account 
2. Click on create new account
3. Use this info to create an account: Account ID: southcobb   Student Activation Code: stu1564
4. Login after creating account (UN and PW should both be your lunch number)
5. Select "Join Class" and scroll down until you see "Mr. Leuleseged". Select class period then join class.
6. Under "Assignments" take the Mock EOC.
7. Record answers in notes section of your notebook. Label it Mock EOC.

THURSDAY
1. Use answer sheet to grade Mock EOC
2. Complete Error Analysis organizer
3. Review questions 1-3 from EOC
4. Timed Writing
5. Score/Edit/Revise Timed Writing
HW: Go on USATESTPREP and complete practice #1 for citing evidence.

FRIDAY
1. Continue working on dots on usatestprep.
HW: Go on USATESTPREP and complete practice #2 for identifying theme.
