2. Write your rough draft of your research essay using Persuasive Outline.
3. Watch the MLA video in order to setup your essay on word doc before typing your essay.
4. Add info to your PPT

WEDNESDAY: Finish gathering evidence (5 citations from 2+ sources) to insert in body par.1-3.  See: How to Create a Works Cited Page

THURSDAY: Conclusion paragraph (TLC)/ Works Cited/Peer Review

FRIDAY: Quiz (MLA/Citations/Elements of Essay)

  1. Novel/Study Guide: Complete the questions that will be on your unit test for the novel.
  2. Labor Day: Complete one paragraph for the number assigned to you in class.  Add facts/evidence by researching the subject at home.
  3. T-Chart:  Complete a t-chart with all of the characters in the novel and 3 facts. See below:
    • A quote that reveals their perspective on life
    • An example of the conflict they struggle with
    • An example of their personality/physical qualities
  4. HW: Interview parents

1. Research Labor Issue
2. Complete 1 assignment from each column

6. Read the union song "Hey, Mr. President, Don't Kill for Me! and compare the attitude the singer has to that of the author of the article "Why the Iran Deal is a Good Option-and a Christian One". Write a one paragraph comparison explaining what both are saying about war?
