MONDAY-TUESDAY
Writer's Workshop:
  1. Finish debates on social issues.
  2. Review Unit 2 Research Paper
    • Thesis Formation
    • Body Paragraph #1: Rebuttal
HW: Create an introduction paragraph by adding a hook some background info about topic (2 sentences), and add your thesis you already completed in class.

WEDNESDAY
Writer's Workshop:
  1. Teacher Conference: Introduction paragraph and rebuttal paragraph 
  2. Rough Draft: Complete an introduction (H.I.T) and your rebuttal (R/A.C.E.R) paragraph in the lab.  
  3. Research: Continue gathering citations and evidence for body paragraphs.  You need 3 sources (websites) to complete the work cited page typed and ready to turn in Friday 31st.
HW: 1st THREE paragraphs (intro, body 1, and body 2) due Thursday 30th.

THURSDAY
Writer's Workshop:
  1. Complete rough draft (ALL 5 paragraphs)
  2. Extra Credit: Those writing a satire instead of developing your debate topic need to look at this student example of a satire.  He proposes a solution to the problem of poor school attendance.
  3. Peer-Edit: Have at least ONE student read over your paper for:
  4. Final Draft: Begin typing your essay.  Typed paper with works cited due Friday 31st.
HW: Rewrite your rough draft in pen and complete Works Cited organizer with a minimum of 3 sources (websites)...ALL DUE FRIDAY 31ST.  ANYONE WITHOUT A COMPLETE ROUGH DRAFT WILL RECEIVE NO HIGHER THAN A 60% ON THE FINAL DRAFT!!!

Writer's Workshop:
  1. Publish: Type final version of paper, with a cover page and works cited page (Place websites into citation maker from your works cited organizer)
HW: Complete practice EOC test online by going to www.usatestprep.com

  1. Select "Create Account"
  2. Type Account ID: SouthCobb AND Student Activation Code: stu1564
  3. Create new account by making a username (lunch #) AND password (lunch #) 
  4. Login in with new account username and password.
  5. Select "Join Class" and select "Mr. Leuleseged" from dropdown menu
  6. It will ask you to "add assignment for class" so make sure to click "yes" 
  7. Take Mock EOC test under assignments.  It will be for a quiz grade and we will use it to prepare for the EOC from April 10-28th.
