EAGLE WRITING CENTER SIGN-UP

MONDAY-TUESDAY (Lab Days)
1. W-up: Revise narration using dialogue for Shemeka on Monday and Sam and Billy on Tuesday.
2. Review Unit Project Rubric
3. Prewrite: Complete plot organizer before beginning to draft your story.
4. Draft: In your rough draft section write in pencil your rough draft. MAKE SURE TO DOUBLE SPACE (write a line/skip a line)
5. Exchange email address with your peer-editor (partner).

WEDNESDAY
1. W-up: Revise paragraph using dialogue
2. Notes: Imagery (5 senses).
3. Analyze passage for imagery before adding 3 adjectives, conjunctions, or simile's into you rough draft for your new character submission
HW: Rough draft due Thurs.

THURSDAY
1. W-up: Revise paragraph using dialogue
2. Pre-write HW Check (3 pts). Checking for plot organizer, your STEAL paragraph explaining your new character idea, and your rough draft for your story.
3. Drafting: Write poem for project that reveals the character's central conflict, dreams/passions, or important thoughts. 
HW: Study for Unit Test by reviewing all the highlighted links here. Vocab Lists 1-5, character logs for all 17 characters/poems, notes on TPCAST, figurative language and characterization (STEAL strategy), and rules for punctuating dialogue (practice #1, practice #2).

FRIDAY
1. Pre-writing HW Check for New Character (story, poem, reflection all due)
2. Unit Test 1
3. Open Mic: Share poems submitted for New Character Project
HW: Revise rough draft including 1-2 page story with narration and dialogue, as well as poem and Tyrone's reflection.  ALL are DUE MONDAY 17th!. Look at Poetry Types to help you with choosing a poem structure.
