TUESDAY
1. Double-entry journal (Sterling-Steve)
2. Review pgs. 80-120 and update logs (vocab/character). Due at end of class. Use review resources above to study for tomorrow's quiz.
HW: Writing Prompt: In Mr. Ward's class, are a variety of students and personalities.  Imagine a new character to add to Nikki Grimes' novel Bronx Masquerade. What is his/her name.  What are they passionate about? Describe what makes this character different than the rest and why he/she would make for a good new character.  Include what this character may be hiding or struggling with in your answer.

WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY
1. W-up: Revise dialogue for punctuation errors.
2. Novel Quiz #3
3. Conferences: Share new character idea with class and take notes on suggestions.
4. Writer's Workshop: Writing dialogue exercise

HW: Read pgs 120-167 and add to character logs.

FRIDAY
1. Read pgs. 120-167 (Raynard-Porscha) and complete logs.
2. Visit website on Poetry Types and choose one poem structure you will use to write your New Character poem. If you are writing a song then begin drafting it.
3. Complete a TPCAST for your poem. Due on Monday.  Tell me your poems Title, Paraphrase in a sentence what it will be about, list the Connotation/Fig Language you will use, the Attutude of poem, if there are any Shifts and the Theme/Moral of poem, or song.

HW: Read pgs 120-167 and add to character and vocab logs. TPCAST for New Character Project due on poem you are submitting with story.
