TUESDAY 9/13
  1. Winner of each class contest for class anthology cover: 
  2. Unpack Unit 2 (informational/persuasive) standards. Circle the verbs and underline the nouns.  Next, draw a line from each noun to the verb like a webb
  3. Mini-lesson: Propaganda Techniques. List all of the techniques from the Prezi.  You will be asked to apply them to ads, commercials, and other mediums.
WEDNESDAY 9/14
  1. W-up: Vocab List #5
  2. Propaganda Activity: Watch the  two commercials for Sprint and Verizon and complete the graphic organizer on the last page in link above.
  3. Winner of the Class Anthology Cover: Rebecca Taylor.  Congratulate her when you see her!!!
THURSDAY 9/15
1. Complete two words on vocab list 5.

2. Mini project: Choose one propaganda technique from yesterday's notes (Propaganda Techniques List) and make an advertisement for a product (i.e. Apple 7, Jordans, Hotpockets). Use the link directly below to design your poster. Remember to save it to your lunch number or Dropbox. http://www.postermywall.com 
   -Product Name
   -Slogan (catchy pitch or phrase)
   -Image 
   -Product Logo

3. Write a summary paragraph explaining your product, your choice of propaganda used, and the intended effect of using that propaganda (in other words: why will people be persuaded by using this technique)
