F.) Barely a Story: Think of a story not worthy of the news and design a paper using the link below. Include 2 examples of media bias in it. One slide should be the newspaper slide and the second slide should explain the types of media bias you used. This will be presented in the lab on Monday. March 21.

- Watch: History of St. Patrick's Day and read "How the Irish Became White"
- Discussion: How is the treatment of current Hispanic migrants similar to that of the first Irish Americans?
- Social Issue Poster: Copy the organizer from this link and complete a rough draft for your social issue. It must include:
- A catch slogan (rhyme or repetition)
- 2-3 persuasive appeals (KELP)
- An image (drawing, print-out, graph, symbol)
- Color
- Mock EOC Extended Response #1:
- Essay Topic: According to the author, should the war on drugs end? Provide evidence of his argument by developing a five paragraph essay. Each body paragraph must focus on a different persuasive appeal (KELP).
- Brainstorm: T.O.P before you gather info to put in brainstorm (in rough draft section copy essay topic and complete both TOP/brainstorm)
- Gather Evidence: Read the article 7 Facts About Drugs That Will Make You Question Everything You Know and watch the video on addiction to gather evidence you will place on brainstorm and use in essay paragraphs.
- HW Rough Draft: Type up rough draft in word doc and save as Mock EOC 1 to your lunch number.
