Graphic Organizer: 2 examples for each
|Kairos| What call to action is used to bring urgency to a policy or topic?
|Ethos| Who's trustworthiness is attacked or celebrated?
|Logos| What facts, examples are used to support/defend or disagree/refute?
|PathosWhat emotional appeal is used to create sympathy, anger, fear, etc?

2. Write a summary paragraph explaining the three examples you found in the debate and State you believe won the debate and why.

  1. Watch The Great Debaters and complete the viewing guide. Viewing Guide Link
  2. HW: Research inequality in schools today.  Gather evidence you will use to argue the affirmative or negative for: Schools are institutions of equality where every child gets the same educational experience. Complete  a 5-paragraph persuasive essay that is due Monday 25th.
